A.R. Williams boasts a history almost as long as Canada's. Our roots began in Ontario
in 1878 as The A.R. Williams Machinery Company Ltd., distributors of
machine tools and related supplies. Western expansion in 1903 brought the company to
Winnipeg. We were registered in Alberta in 1942.
In 1984 the Alberta assets were acquired by Arnie Charbonneau
and the company was incorporated as A. R. Williams Materials Handling Ltd.,
consisting of 2 locations in Alberta with 38 employees. 1990 brought expansion
to Saskatchewan with operations in Regina and Saskatoon. Further expansion
has brought operations to Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie and
Winnipeg.
In January 2010 A.
R. Williams Materials Handling was acquired by
Cervus Equipment Corporation.
Through local market focus,
industry specialization and the provision of customer service excellence, the
company has become the largest Material Handling focused distributor in Western Canada,
growing to 140 employees and nine locations throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and
Manitoba.
A.R. Williams’ reputation as an industry leader and its growing market share have been built on long-term customer relationships and a team effort.
Our personnel in Sales,
Service and Parts have logged hundreds of years of experience in the industrial equipment field. Their knowledge is at your service to recommend and support the right equipment for your job.
